This easy Chocolate Pancakes recipe makes light and fluffy pancakes that are great for a weekend brunch, breakfast or dessert.

INGREDIENTS
For the Pancakes
160 gr / 5.64 oz. all-purpose flour
30 gr. /1.06 oz. Dutch process cocoa
3 tablespoons sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
220 gr / 7.8 oz. warm milk
2 large eggs
60 gr./ 2.15 oz. butter, melted
extra melted butter, for cooking
For the Hot Chocolate Sauce
100 gr./ 3.53 oz. dark chocolate
100 gr./ 3.53 oz. milk chocolate
80 gr. milk
2 tablespoons Irish cream liqueur (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
To make the Hot Chocolate Sauce
Put the chocolate in a large mixing bowl. Pour the milk into a saucepan and bring to a simmer. Bring to the boil, then quickly remove from the heat, pour over the chocolate and whisk until smooth and glossy. Add Irish cream liqueur and mix again.
To make the Pancakes
In a large mixing bowl, sift together flour, cocoa, sugar baking powder, and salt.
Whisk in milk, eggs, and melted butter until well-blended.
Preheat a nonstick pan over medium-high heat.
Melt ½ teaspoon butter and scoop 1/4 cup of pancake batter onto pan. Let pancakes cook until bubbles form on top before flipping.
Cook other side until golden brown. Repeat again.
Serve them with hot chocolate sauce, bananas and chopped hazelnuts or with anything you like.
