Beer Can Chicken

Use your beer to bake a Beer Can Chicken in the oven. This way of cooking a chicken may look a little weird, but is perfect to keep the meat tender and juicy.

 INGREDIENTS

For the chicken

1 whole chicken, about 1500 -1800gr / 52.9 – 63.5 oz.
2 tablespoons soy sauce
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 can (12 fluid ounce) / 330 ml beer of your choice

For the seasoning

2 teaspoons dried thyme
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons sweet paprika
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 tablespoon dried sage
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 360 degrees F (180 degrees C).

Mix all the seasoning ingredients together in a small bowl. Set aside.

Drizzle the olive oil and soy sauce over the chicken and rub it in all over.

Rub the prepared seasoning mixture to taste over the entire chicken.

Place the open beer can in the center of the baking dish. Fit whole chicken over the open beer can with the legs on the bottom. Pour 2 glasses of water in the pan and place it in the oven.

Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for about 1 ¼ to 1 ½ hours.
