Servings: 8 pita bread

INGREDIENTS

4 cups all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon salt
150 gr./ 5.29 oz. warm milk
150 gr./ 5.29 oz. warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon dry yeast
3 tablespoons olive oil

6 teaspoons olive oil for cooking the bread

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix and knead all of the dough ingredients by hand or mixer to make soft and smooth dough. Form the dough into a ball, cover with vegetable oil and set aside in warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Divide the dough into 8 pieces and form them into balls. Roll out the balls flat (about 20 cm in diameter).

Place pita bread on a pan preheated on medium-high heat with one teaspoon olive oil. Cook for 5-6 minutes (2.5-3 minutes on each side). When you flip each flatbread it should rice up to make a pocket in the middle. Enjoy !!!
